Question about JVC AV-48WP30 48" Rear Projection Television
The lines are thin and thick at times they are pretty straight and they flash sideways.
That sounds like a problem in the deflection circuits which is the large board on the right side of the TV. You have to be careful with that model not to remove the back with out unplugging the power cord because if the back is removed while the power cord is plugged in you will damage the digital circuits of the TV. The site I work for has any parts for that model JVC which are used but the work good, Had a cracked picture tube so all other parts are in excellent working order. They would most likely make you a good deal on the deflection board. Heres their link leave them an email stating your model and what you need.
