You will need to have the printer clean the printhead, and then do the test print. If the test print is printing the entire image, then it is likely a driver issue. Go to HP's website and download the latest driver for your printer.
If you are running Windows Vista, the driver is very likely to be the culprit because the standard printer driver is usually from prior to Vista's release. Again, go to HP's site and download the latest driver for Vista and your printer.
