- my battery died, at that time the lens was out, changed battery, and have a lens error.poo. what do i do now. my camera is only 13 months old, lucky me, the warranty was for 12 months.

Figured it was a battery issue, but it was not, fresh batteries did not fix the issue. Draining power from the system to try and get it to reset failed also. I power on, it attempts to extend the lens, fails, tries again, it extends, but gives the error. It had been about a month between last use, which was fine. - pakka77

EVERYTIME I TRY TO TURN IT ON, IT SAYS LENS ERROR, AND ONCE IN AWHILE IT LETS ME TAKE PICTURES AND WHEN I WANT TO REVIEW IT, ONCE AGAIN.. LENS ERROR. IT'S BRAND NEW!!

I have the exact same problem as above...the camera is only a few months old. It started making a few funny noises intermittently, then one day when I started it up it just made horrible grinding/bad noises, the lens won't retract at all even on restarting the camera, as indicated by the error message...

My camera work and I even got to take a picture, even though I had a low battery. My camera shut off and told me to change the batteries. I did, and my camera didn't turn on. It said lens error, restart camera. I restarted my camera, and it kept saying the same thing, and now no longer lets me access my camera and the pictures.

hey, my camera says lens error M527 - 14, pls,i just had a new baby and would love to take out evrydaypics with her, pls send me a solution to fix it. i cant a=go to an hp store because i am in guyana.

I have a Nikon Coolpix 3200. It powers on then shows "lens error" and shuts back down. Any solutions?

I have a canon ixus 900Ti and without warning it no refuses to work it just sends the lens out and returns half way before displaying "lens error please reset". Switching off and removing the battery does not work.

When I try to turn on my camera the lens starts to open the screen says "lens error" and then shuts off.
