Gateway Laptop W350A

Hi :) I am wondering what to do with my system now that Vista has updated, but somehow has pushed me back into a temporary User profile each time I boot windows. I cannot access any of my old saved files and pictures and have browser trouble as well. It's as if I have turned the computer on for the very first time, each time I boot the system up. I have read that others have had this problem too. How do I fix this please? Thanks!

I have a Gateway T-series (Model:W350A) laptop. I just reinstalled Windows Vista and now the computer is not recognizing the built in wireless card. How do I get it to recognize it? Or how do I install the...

Plug in an ethernet cable into your ethernet card port on the left hand side of your laptop. When it connects to the internet click on the Windows update icon in the system tray. It should show you a Realtek Wireless RTL8187b wireless adapter driver update. Install it, you may need to reboot, but in any case you will have wireless networks available to you and you can pull out the ethernet cable. Good luck.

Gateway w350a shuts off for no reason

if for any reason the computer shuts off immediately it could be from the CPU fan, your computer probably has problem in its coling system, it could be the fan has so many dust obstruction, to solve this you need an expert to open up your laptop and clean the fan. in theory if the cpu reaches its peak temp. it will automatically shuts down to prevent damaged to your system. hope this helps you...
