Look for a loose Tub Fin and tighten it if its loose. Also,If the dryer has bad drum supports than it will allow this problem to occur.Other than that visually inspect the inside area in dryer to see if there is some thing sticking up that is catching the item.

I was drying my tennis shoes in a pillow case. The shoes pillow case and 3 towels were in the dryer, I had a smell like belt burning turned it off immediately. LG Stackable Dryer.

I'd think unlikely to be belt, as that is only a drive connection. Remove back panel and take a look at the pulley. It might be the casting off center

Frigidaire Gallery dryer Model FSG447GHSO. Clothes and dryer sheets get caught between the drum and one of the three "bumps" inside the drum, causing burn marks on clothing. I can see the gap where it

There is a gasket that fits around the back side of the tumbler. Sounds like it needs replacing. It's job is to keep clothes inside the tumbler.

Dryer works but only on medium heat. which element is bad?

you could either have 1/2 of the element out(check with ohmmeter) missing one leg of your 240 volts input if dryer uses 240 for operation or an input power wire ib burned off somewhere inside unit, check the "NEUTRAL" connection at the heating element center point, it carries the current im-balance and is subject to a lot of heat from element case

Wirlpool dryer heating eliment keeps braking

Sounds like you use dryer sheets. If you do, try cleaning your lint screen with vinegar. Dryer sheets leave a film on the screen that the dryer eventually can't breathe through, the dryer overheats and burns up the elements.

Burn marks on clothing

The front felt drum seal may be bad. It is attached to the front panel, around the door.
Check and or replace the rear drum support it has worn down the ball and cup support. It will soon begin making a grinding/squealing noise.
When it wears and drops down the gap is greater at the front around the felt seal. Laundry gets caught in the gap and scorches.

Clothes getting caught in dryer tub and appear to be burning.

-Base on what you said. There is nothing or sharp edge to hold the
cloth by the time the drum spin. Looks like when you close the door. The door snap or bite the cloth and hold it still (no moving)
and the drum keep spinning and rubbing it at the same spot. That's why it mark a burning line.
Same thing like you drive a motorcycle. You apply brake to the front wheel and let the back wheel spin. So it will make a burn line on the ground.

Good luck

My dryer gets hot but takes forever to dry clothes i changed the vent hose but it still takes a long time to dry

Hi, Welcome. Here is your problem.

Two heat temp sensors in dryer. One tells heating element to turn off & on Like your house thermostat but it is set & not adjustable. (More than likely the one going out.) The other is temp Overload to prevent dryer from catching fire. It is recommended that you replace these as pairs.

Parts of clothes get stuck in edge of dryer...seems to burn them.

I have had this same problem with my stack-able dryer. It was leaving small burns on my kids clothes and my good sheets. My dryer has a felt-like seal at the front of the drum. If this seal is worn, torn, or missing, the clothes in the dryer can get caught and scorched or torn in the space between the clothes drum and the front of the dryer interior. My seal was worn out, so I needed to replace it. I had someone come in and do the work the first time but when it wore out again I just order the part and replaced it myself. It is fixable:)
