I have tried the blue tooth action but I still get "unable to download message" when trying to retrieve a 19.41KB photo I have been sent.
You should check MMS profile setting. The proper setting should be configured before sending or receiving MMS. To retrieve the MMS automatically, you should set the settings at "Auto download" settings. To check,
1. Go to Message from the idle screen.
2. Go to "Settings" and then "Multimedia messages."
3. Select "Receiving options" and "Home network."
4. Go to "Foreign network" menu and check the status
5. If it is set at "Auto download", you can receive MMS automatically.
6. If it is set at "Manual", you should operate MMS retrieve function manually.

My solution was found when I went to the help section of the Vodafone site. I bought the Motorola L6 'phone as a special deal but it was with O2 and I wanted Vodafone. I paid a bit more and got a SIM card but the setting for MMS was still set to O2. By using the Vodafone web site and selecting help for the L6 then entering my mobile number I was able to download settings to my mobile as if I had moved from contract to pay as you go. That set up the correct MMS server setting and enabled sending and receiving photographs.
i have had photos sent to my mobile but said error: unable to download would love to be able to see photos
