I knew that was not going to work, because you have a hardware failure on your TV.
Please provide me with the model/chassis number of your TV to be able to provide with more info.

You might need to adjust the red screen drive control, turn the Red down and see if that clears it out. Sounds like the Red Tube is over driving the Green and blue Tube.
Find the Focus and screen control block there will be 3 controls on Top 3 right under them R-G-B they adjust the Focus to each tube and screen drive for each tube. also you need to clean the lenses off top of each tube they get dirty and dusty and it would help to clean the mirror

The blue projection light is off, like it has dust on it. so unscrewed the front screen, cleaned the lights now the red and green are blurry looking. any help ?

You probably knocked or moved the focus lenses when you cleaned the lights (these are actually 3 picture tubes) Each lens has a wing nut that tightens to lock the focus in place if this was moved your focus would be off. Does the blue tube light at all? and when the TV's on is the image clear when you look directly into the Tubes? (the image should be bright and clear -not milky.)

I have a sony kp-61v90 projector tv and the colors are making the red stick out, feels like a 3d, any help?i kalld a tv repair which charged me $50 and said to repair $350 which is pretty crazy....help

i'm assuming that your complaint is the red is predominant over the other colors- if it is a rear projection set, there are three tubes [r,b,g], and each one has its own flyback with a focus and 'g2' control on it. try backing down the red g2, and if the picture is too dark, turn down the color control [so you should have a black and white pic], then adjust the g2 controls until you have a satisfactory black and white pic- after that, when you turn the color back up, you should have a good pic. sometimes. adjusting the g2 can affect the focus, and there is a focus control on the flyback. there are also optical focus [moveable lenses] on each tube, but they are primarilly for initial setup of the set, and should never have to be adjusted, unless the tube has been replaced. fyi- i happen to have a complete set of sony rear projection tubes [r,b,g] complete with lenses and neck coils i am currently trying to sell, but it doesn't sound like you need tubes at this time, but it's something to keep in mind, because these tubes are becoming extremely rare and hard to find, and cost upwards of close to a thousand dollars a piece, i'm selling the complete set for four hundred dollars. good luck!

Remove back see if you can get to tubes top lenses clean all 3 from dirt/dust/ After cleaning off lenses there is a black control box has 3 controls on top 3 on bottom these are to adjust each tube R-G-B Tubes screen/ focus adjust one tube at a time--- Like to adjust red turn g,b.screen drive off turn red up adjust focus to a clear picture ,then green same and blue If you turn screen up to much it will either shut off or you will see Drive lines adjust back down.OK after doing this turn color off in menu adjust all 3 screen controls untill you have Black and white picture try to adjust as close as you can to get bl/wt picture when that is done now turn color on and you should have alot better picture.

Red tube going bad???

much to my suprise these tubes need to be re-juvenated with a crt shooter. this does not bode well with the so called king o the hill (sony). although after re-juvenating the tubes seem to hold up rather well.
