Question about Dell DJ Ditty MP3 Player
I've had my DJ Ditty for over 2 years. I've had nothing but problems for the last year. It freezes itself while in the middle of songs. It shuts itself off. Now, when I plug it into my computer, my computer does recognize it but it displays the songs in like a Dingbats font (with boxes and upside-down question marks and random letters). When I try to delete songs, my computer tells me that it has either stopped responding or has been disconnected. I noticed they don't even sell the dumb things anymore. Anyone know what the problem is? Is it fixable?
Reformat the player and reload the songs. (warning: reformatting erases all songs on the player)
Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
If the reformatting causing any issues, you can always rebuild the original software from Dell's own website:
