I have a brother mfc-7420.
It's in a constant sleep mode that cannot be fixed by changing sleep time or by using the option/start method.
It will also ring in when a fax comes through but will not pick up.
Are the two related? I moved the machine from one office to another (kept the same phone number) but now it seems to have quit working. Any suggestions?

Have you uninstalled the printer device driver and software and then reinstalled it? You would also want to use a Registry cleaner utility to remove all traces of the Brother software /etc as well. This ensures when you reinstall it, it is as if you had never installed it at all.
