Question about HP WLAN MultiPort W200 802.11b Wireless Adapter
You said "I had to go into the router and change the settings to only pick up the B&G signal." on your last comment, would you tell me what exactly means ?
Rollback the W200 driver to version 1.00C. Subsequent drivers are incompatible with XP SP2.
Unfortunately, WPA support came in version 1.00E, so W200 + XpSp2 = no WPA support. :(

I do not Think it is the router. I believe it is a problem with how the card interacts with the machine. The solution is probably a driver change/ update which HP/ Compaq do not provide. If you look at the BSOD you will notice that the error points to probable driver issues. The device seems to work but how the device uses RAM / memory is the issue. Perhaps disabling the wired connection might work but othrt forums suggest that some Compaq Multipoet W200 might have Agere chips which WILL NOT function proprly with Intel drivers.
I am going to try some of their drivers, more soon,
