Question about Dell A940 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Disassembly I need instructions on how to safely remove back from the A940 to check for debree or internal damage to the rollers on the right side (when facing the front of the printer). I contacted DELL and well... that was a waste of time, they told me a machine does there disassembly and there are no instructions to do that.

I have put a new belt on my einhell belt sander I've adjusted it as advised but the belt still moves to the right

The two rollers need to be perfectly aligned and parallel to each other for the belt to rotate correctly.

Remove the belt again and check the two rollers to make sure that there is nothing stuck to them that would cause the belt to run off to the right. A piece of tape is enough to make one side of the roller a larger circumference which enhance the taper effect.

Now check the belt in case something has become stuck on the back of the belt that would cause the belt to run off to the right. Something like tape stuck to the back of the belt will decrease the internal circumference of the belt on one side and make the belt run off.

Finally, you may have to replace the bearings on the rollers as they may have become worn. You may want a power tool engineer to do this for you.

When i print an invoice for my business my invoice is printed with a streak down the right side of it. everything else on the invoice is printed with great quality but the streak down the side looks like...

Remove the toner/drum cartridge. If you can look up into the area above the toner cartridge with a flashlight, look for either dust on the laser glass or some other obstruction. Also check the transfer roller that lies just below the drum. Make sure that's clean with no damage to its sponge surface. DO NOT TOUCH IT WITH BARE HANDS!!! The oil from you skin will damage it. Most important thing to check: Look straight back to the rear of the printer without the cartridge in place. You should see an orange or red roller towards the back. That's the pressure roller for the fuser. Look with the flash light at the grey or light brown roller adjacent to that pressure roller. You said the right side is faded. Look at that right side of that roller. If there is any damage or foreign debris stuck on that side, and you can't clean it with cotton swabs and 91% Isopropol Alcohol, you probably will have to replace that fuser.

I need to replace the walking belt on a ProForm PFTL40070.

Installing An Icon Fitness Treadmill Belt You can save yourself a great deal of time by following these instructions as opposed to those of the manufacturer. Please contact us if you need any further help. UNPLUG THE TREADMILL BEFORE DOING ANY REPAIR!
Step #1- Remove the plastic railing on the right hand side of the deck. Most railings are stapled down so using a flat head screwdriver or another prying device is the easiest way to do it. The plastic is refastened using screws provided with the belt in a later step. If you cannot see the staples, you may need to remove the cosmetic center insert cover first by simply sliding it to the back of the treadmill. This rail is on the opposite side of the front roller pulley and motor. Some of the models aren’t stapled down and with these, you simply remove the rear end cap and slide the rail off the back of the treadmill.
Step #2- Loosen the rear roller and remove the two adjustment bolts. Some models have a spring loaded tensioner on the right hand side so be careful when removing these bolts. After the bolts have been removed, remove the rear roller end cap(s). The rear roller should now simply slide out of the walking belt.
Step #3- Remove the motor hood. Using a black permanent marker, make a mark on the front roller adjustment bolt on the motor compartment side at exactly where it fits flush with the roller so you will know where to retighten it later. The adjustment bolt is on the right hand side of the front roller. Then remove the bolt with a 7/16” wrench. Step #4- Remove the deck screws which should now be exposed since the plastic cover is off. In this step, also remove the staples with a pair of pliers. Be sure to remove all deck and staple debris before continuing.
Step #5- This step is easiest if you have another person to help but it is possible with one person. Lift up the side of the deck that has been loosened and making sure that the front roller is angled toward the deck, remove the old belt by simply pulling it to the side. A few models had a side hand rail that attaches to the side of the treadmill and if you have one of these, the hand rail must be removed first.
Step #6- Install the new belt just like you removed the old belt. Before proceeding, make sure that the belt is in the center of the two metal belt guides that protrude from the bottom of the deck. The guides should be angled where the sides of the belt are turned slightly upward. Sometimes these can get bent during installation so make sure they are contacting the edges of the belt or the belt will not stay centered properly. Step #7- Install the front roller adjustment bolt where you just start it. Do not return it to its original position yet.
Step #8- Install the deck screws.
Step #9- Slide the rear roller back into position and insert the end caps and rear roller bolts. Most models have a small ground wire on one of the rear roller bolts. Make sure to just slide this over the bolt before it is inserted in the roller. The ground wire dissipates static electricity that is built up on the walking belt to help the roller bearings last longer and reduce static discharge on the electronics.
Step #10- Adjust the front roller bolt to its original position.
Step #11- Tighten the rear roller bolts to where the tension on both sides feels even and you can lift the walking belt 2-3” in the center of the belt from the deck surface.
Step #12- Replace the right side railing with the screws provided using a screwdriver.
Step #13- Start the treadmill and align the belt according to the instructions in the owner’s manual or on our web site troubleshooting page under “Belt Centering Tensioning Instructions.”
Step #14- Once the belt is aligned, test the belt for slippage. If the belt slips at all, tighten the rear roller adjustment bolts equally on both sides ½ turn until the slippage is gone. Do not over tighten the belt where it has less than 2” of lift from the deck surface.
Step #15- Replace the motor hood and make sure no odd noise is apparent and that the belt is tracking and tensioned properly.

Pressure switch hose

The back panel is not supposed to come off on these washers. You're supposed to remove the entire washer case in one piece by removing 2 retaining clips under the control panel. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3631789-washer_case_removal_whirlpool_top

This procedure is much simpler than it sounds. Just follow the step-by-step instructions.

With the washer case removed, you will have full access to all the internal components of the washer. The air hose from the pressure switch will attach to a small air dome on the lower right hand side of the wash tub (as viewed from the front). It will clearly be visible with the washer case out of the way. Since you posted no MODEL MODEL, I can only direct to some web sources that may have an exploded view drawing of your washer, Check with any of the following websites if you need further reference:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com

I mention these procedures for proper disassembly, because removing the back panel can damage the washer and/or cause vibration problems when it won't go back together properly.

If you have any questions, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

You have rollers that pull the paper in the printer, it sounds like one of them is dirty. try cleaning the rollers, You may have a broken, just inspect to see. more than likely just needs cleaning.

Service manual for the HP 6110 all in one printer.

A metric allen wrench set (small sizes) is needed to remove the drive mechanism from the document feeder, then the parts can be disassembled. Unfortunately, the drive rollers, made of rubber were damaged by a small metal piece - (staple?) that was fed into the machine. Removal of the metal piece almost restored the drive. It needs to be lightly snded to remove the marks made by the staple. Thanks anyway.

Printing problem with HP Laserjet P2015 printer

This can be an issue with one of the faulty sensor across the printer.
Please check if you are able to print from tray 1, e.g. a configuration page.
A config page can be printed by holding the Green Button and releasing it as soon as the Triangle light comes on. This would take approx 5 secs.
If the printer is able to print from tray 1, then it could be an issue with the tray 2 pickup sensor.
Check if the tray 2 pickup sensor ( a black plastic piece to the right of the tray 2 pickup roller) is moving freely (front and back), also check if tray 2 pickup roller is not able to rotate completely.

If the tray 2 sensor is not moving freely and of the pickup roller is rotating completely, then reseat the pickup roller.

Normal use with good media causes wear resulting in the need to periodically clean or replace the pickup roller. Additionally, the use of poor media might require more frequent replacement of the pickup roller. Replacing the pickup roller Complete the following to replace the pickup roller:

CAUTION: Failure to complete this procedure might damage the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer, and allow the printer to cool.
