AVAYA PARTNER MLS12 MESSAGE LIGHT ON

A EMPLOYEE QUIT WILL NOT GIVE US HER CODE. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO OVERRIDE AND CLEAR.

The MLS12 is the phone unit itself, does your office use a Partner voice messaging system? If so you should be able to reset the mailbox security code from the administrator's console.

If you need help with this we would need to know what model phone system you have and what model voice messaging system you have.

I would suggest you unplug the phone, remote the batterys and let it be for a while.

Try disconnecting from battery, if it is the security code wont be removed

    If you lost the master password you may not be able to unlock the phone even removing the battery.
    To reset it you need to call Avaya toll free customer service number, to find it check Avaya website here, selecting your country in box at the top.
    Before calling support number you may need to find out system relase status, as you probably will be asked for it. To find it out you need to press f59, follow instruction at page 388 of user manual.

    on many Avaya there is a phone button to reset, in this case you need to pick up the handset and press phone to reset. However, it is unlikely that it will reset the pin code. As already posted you need to call Avaya, give us your location so that we can find phone number in your area.

    Here is avaya tutorial for your specific model
    The only reset you can do is disconnecting from power for ten minutes (see pag 233), but this won't clear password request.
    In US call 1800 628-2888, outside US find number on website.

Depending on the type of voicemail you have, you''ll have to login to the admin mailbox. That's done by pressing your voicemail key or intercom 777. If you have a Partnermail VS the admin mailbox is 99 with the default password of 1234. If you mave a Partner Messaging System the admin mailbox is 0 with a default password of 1234 or 123456. Once your into the admin mailbox press 9 for admin programming. ,(depending on version) press either 2 or 4 administer extensions, enter the mailbox number of the box you want to reset, press 3 to re initalize the password, hang up when done

Which voicemail is it?
If you log into voicemail, it will tell you...."Welcome to Partner...."

You need the admin password to reset the VM user mailbox. This is the Vm admin pass code, If this has been changed you are out of luck. I can reset the pass code for 25.00 remotely,

I have a Partner-18 and need to reset the password for a user


Delete the mailbox for this extension then re-create entire mailbox.

Nope. You are stuck with that. If you want you can change the button that they press, to say....9 or something...make that a selector code transfer and it wont say "receptionist" any more.

Let me know I can help change the button press....
