Insert the first recovery disk into the CD-drive.
Restart your computer, and choose to "boot" from the CD-drive, instead of the usual 'C:' drive. Follow the on-screen instructions.

I tried to log in into my user account. However when I insert the password it says that my user profile cannot be loaded. What can I do?

If you have the operating disc ( windows operating system disc ) then open your dvd drive insert disc shut tray and reboot. as its rebooting tap repeatedly the F12 key until it comes up with the boot menu. from this menu select dvd/ cd and follow instructions on the restore cd. you'll want to do a factory reinstall if possible . in most cases you will have to reinstall the operating system UNLESS you made a pass word recovery disc ( HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) that would also help you get into your account. IF you don't have a password recovery I'm afraid you are stuck reinstalling the software. Now there may be someone out here that has more Knowledge then I and perhaps they can better assist you

How to install Recovery disc on your laptop/computer

Formally, when you purchase a laptop or desktop computer, an operating system disc comes with it. But these days, such disc does not come with most laptop or desktop computer because it is already installed in them which is called recovery disk. This has a great advantage, because if it was on a disc, it will have a scratch and it cannot last forever because it might get lost or damaged. So, having it already installed on your laptop or desktop computer by your computer's manufacturer is a very good idea.

Most people are not aware that this recovery disc is on their laptop or desktop computer. And some might know, but don't know how to use or install it.

A Recovery disk is used to repair windows operating system when it has a virus or when operating system is malfunction. Reinstalling windows with recovery disks helps to recover your computer from any damage.

First, you need to confirm whether your laptop or desktop computer has a recovery disk on it or not. To confirm, click Start Menu, scroll to "My Computer" and click on it. Beside your system's "Local disk (C:)" you should find "RECOVERY (E:)" Click on the recovery disc and you should find a golden padlock with "RECOVERY" in front of this. Also confirm the and make sure it's is a minimum of 6GB.

Now, to install/run your system's recovery disk, go to;"Start menu" > "All Programs" > "Backup & Recovery" > "Recovery Manager". Read and follow instructions and you will definitely perform the recovery successfully.

Lastly, make sure you perform the recovery white your laptop adapter plugged to AC and do not run the recovery on battery. There must not be interruption of any kind in the process of the installation.

Good luck.

Note: During the process, all data stored on your computer will be overwritten. This means all your files, such as email and photos, will be erased. Therefore, we recommend making a backup of all personal data before starting the recovery process.

How do you reinstall windows on tosiba laptop

To reinstall windows you need the disc for right version of windows that you have the license for. This will be on the COA (Certificate of Authenticity) label which will probably be on the underside of your laptop also with the license key. Some laptop manufacturers supply a 'rescue' disc with the operating system already on it (and the drivers for your laptop too). In some other cases the manufacturers create a 'recovery partition' on the hard drive which can be used to reinstall/restore the OS.
Firstly I would check for the recovery partition and if your laptop has one, use this option (check laptop manual for instructions on using this).
If you need to use a Windows disc then I would recomend that you find all the drivers you will need for your laptop PRIOR to starting the reinstallation. Also, I recomend that you back up any data/info that you want to keep too.
It may be a good idea to write the licence key down on a piece of paper before you start - saves having to flip the laptop over halfway through the procedure. Once you have got your drivers and backed up you data then insert the windows disc and when promted to boot from CD/DVD press any key.
The install process will give you messages which are straight forward to understand and follow.

I bought hp laptop pre-installed with windows 7. There are partition as C(200gp) and D(25gb).Now i need more partition of size 100gb so i need to reinstall windows 7.They didnot provide windows 7 CD. how...

Usually, pre-loaded hp laptops have an utility to create (only once) recovery disks. U will need a few high quality DVDs or up to 20 CDs. The laptop must be connected to AC power during this process. The how-to is in Ur documentation that came with the laptop (probably in some pdf document). Usually, the procedure to create set of recovery discs is as follows (maybe it changes according to model): 1. Select Start > All Programs > Recovery Manager > Recovery Manager. Recovery Manager Opens. 2. Click Advanced Options. 3. Click Recovery disc creation, and then click Next. 4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Pls, send the laptop exact model, so I'll be able to verify this procedure.
BTW, did U considered use of some partition manager to resize the partition?

I had lost my third recovery disc in vaio vgn-cs280j what i have to do?

You can create the Recovery Discs for the Computer.

  1. Ensure all open programs are closed.
  2. Ensure all network connections are disconnected.
  3. Ensure all peripheral devices are disconnected. NOTE: If the computer uses an external CD/DVD drive, ensure the drive is plugged in according to the instructions in the VAIO User Guide.
  4. From within the VAIO Recovery Center application, under Choose a program , click Create Recovery Discs . NOTE: The VAIO Recovery Center can be accessed from within Windows Help and Support . Click Troubleshoot my VAIO [FIG. 1], and then click Launch VAIO Recovery Center .
  5. In the Create Recovery Discs window, click the Start button.
  6. In the When recovery discs are needed window, click the Next button.
  7. In the Choose your media window, click the Next button. NOTE: Although an option is provided for creating Dual Layer (DL) discs, that option will not produce usable discs on this model. Ensure the Create recovery disc(s) using... DVD(s) option remains selected before clicking Next .
  8. Insert a blank, recordable DVD into the DVD drive.
  9. In the Insert a blank disc window, click the OK button.
  10. Insert a new disc when necessary as instructed.
  11. When all the disks have been created, click the Finish button.

You can call Direct Accessories and Parts Center at: 1-800-488-SONY (7669) to order Recovery Discs also.
