Question about Irons
(I couldn't find this product listed, so I had to choose from alternate categories to get this email to go through...HELP!)
I've had this Coleman lighter for less than a year, and until now it's been functioning perfectly - it's my everyday lighter. It's the one with the extendable necy to allow for reaching difficult places. Suddenly, it just stopped lighting. It's full with butane, sparks, but will not ignite. I need to know where I can send it for repairs (or if you have any quick fix for me...)
I just bought one myself for camping. Sent $6 S&H, along with lighter to Colibri Service Department (who apparently makes this lighter for Coleman) 1425 Cranston Street, Cranston RI 02920.
You'll want to empty the lighter of Butane before you send it (Hold lighter in verticle upright position. Depress filler valve with a ballpoint pen or small screwdriver until hissing stops.

I have the same lighter, but now the gas comes out everywhere BUT where is is supposed to when the trigger is depressed. Potentially very dangerous, and I would like it replaced-since it was quite expensive- but I' no longer have the receipt. It is non-existant on either Wallmart's (where I bought it) or Coleman's website
