I have a Brother IntelliFax-4100e fax that speed dial button 04 needed to be changed when we changed our phone system to include a 9 at the beginning of the number. Did that, it was 'accepted', but still...

go into menu, then to fax (hit set) then one touch speed dials (hit set) then hit the 04 one touch button and it should show you what is programmed. You can hit number 1 to change, type the number with a 9 in front of it(ie. 9+1+area code+7 digit number) then hit set and program a name for the number, hit set until the fax beeps to accept the change. You can test it with a blank cover sheet. That's how I have mine at work set up and it works fine. Hope this helps.

Setting up group dial will allow you to send to multiple locations with only one scan of document(s). Programming fax number should be located on page 3-5.

How to delete and program in speed numbers for fax

Create speed dial entries for fax numbers that you use frequently. The number of speed dial entries you can set up depends on the HP device. For more information, see the specifications for the HP device.
expanded.gifTo manually create a speed dial entry 1 In the HP Solution Center, click Settings, point to Fax Settings and Setup, and then click Fax Speed Dial Settings. 2 Click New Entry. 3 In the Speed Dial Settings - New Entry dialog box, type a name and fax number, and then click OK. 4 In the Speed Dial Settings dialog box, click Save. The entry is stored on the HP device.
Note If you are creating a speed dial entry for a networked HP device and you are unable to save the entry, another user on the network might have accessed the same speed dial. Wait a few minutes and try to save the entry again. expanded.gifTo create a speed dial entry from the Address Book 1 In the HP Solution Center, click Settings, point to Fax Settings and Setup, and then click Fax Speed Dial Settings. 2 Under Address Book, click Select From. 3 In the Address Book dialog box, select one or more names, and then click OK. 4 In the Speed Dial Settings dialog box, click Save. I work for the county and I have to dial a code # first

18001234567,1234567890,1234567890

program your speed dial with 'symbols(button)' between the groups of numbers,
the 'symbols' adds a 2second delay between the dialed characters at that point.
except for the first 'symbol' the first 'symbol' pauses till the other end answers the phone and handshaking has taken place.

If the numbers are not always the same, program two speed dials, one for the 1800, one for the password.
and when sending
speeddial1 number speeddial2
