Question about Xerox Phaser 8560MFP Laser Printer

8560mfp system error 07,010.43:2640

Hi, Brand new Xerox 8560mfp, which was working fine, is now producing nothing but - system error 07,010.43:2640. We have attempted to fix it by rebooting etc....Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The error you are receiveing is due to the printhead in the machine most likely being stuck in the tilt position by the tilt lock arms. The first step is to reboot the machine, which you have already done. The rest of the possible solutions require disassembly of the machine. They include:

  1. Verifying that the lock arms are rotating properly.
  2. Examining the printhead for spilled ink.
  3. Checking the process motor gears for damage.
  4. Checking the process gear box, shaft and drive module are in home position.
As well as a few others.

If the machine is new, I would suggest having it looked at under warranty by a Xerox tech. It sounds like something they would cover.

First thing you should know is a 8560 comes with a one year on site warranty. So in the first year all you have to do is call and they will come fix it for you. Either the people you bought it from if they are a dealer, or Xerox direct will come on site for the first year. So if it's that new don't void the warranty by taking it apart.
Have your serial number and call either 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100 and have them repair it.
Not that code, is related to the print head not being able to move freely.
The most likely 2 issues are that it is not sitting level and some ink leaked into the print block, or somehow the power was lost or removed improperly and the print head wiper blade is tacked to the print head.
That code simply means the print head is not moving either from front to back or side to side properly. Normally a very easy, and quick repair.
Honestly I would call and have them do it.

You need the new driver. Goto the Xerox website and download the latest driver and save it on your C: drive. Goto Devices and Printers and remove your existing Xerox 8560MFP. Reboot your computer and go back to this screen and click on "add a printer". When you get to the screen "Install the printer driver" you will see Xerox 8560MFP PS highlighted DO NOT CHOOSE THIS! (you will simply be installing the same driver from Windows 7 back). Instead, Click on "Have Disk... and navigate to where you saved the driver. Choose that one and finish the install.

On the Xerox 8560MFP multifunction, this error code 39,003 signifies a Scanner problem, specifically that the Optical Test has failed. the 75554 is your current page count on the printer.
The Scanner Assembly 062K22590 must be replaced. It is fairly expensive, but moderately easy to replace.
You should also order the Scanner Calibration Sheet 109K01910 to make sure that margins and contrast are correct.
The scan/ document section is broken into 2 main parts, the Scanner, and the Automatic Document feeder. The feeder section is probably working fine.

This error in Xerox 8560 printer occurs when Cyan ink melt heater is on but the ink is not dripping. To troubleshoot this issue please make sure that you are using genuine Xerox ink. If yes then run Clear ISC Fault test to clear the error. The Clear ISC Fault is located in the Internal Diagnostics Function menu.

Also check for broken or wrong type of ink sticks. After this try clearing the fault by running Clear ISC Fault option. If the sticks are also fine then run the appropriate Ink Melt (1,2,3,4) Heater test. If the test fails then there is an issue with the print head.

Here is you problem.

9,035.4x through 9, 038: Fault codes associated when ink count flags are stuck
after melting 2.5 ink sticks. The following codes are recorded: 9,03x.41, where x= 5
for cyan, 6 for magenta, 7 for yellow, and 8 for black.

Troubleshooting Procedure

The probable situation is that 2 camshafts (020K14800 & 008K02160) have cracked, and now have taken out the Process Motor (127K53240)

Replace all 3 together, and get the "homing the process motor" and "homing the head tilt mechanism" instructions.

I have xerox phaser 8560MFP error cod 07,010.43:14059

there is a stainless steel print head block on the lower back portion of the frame that gets contaminated with spill over ink from the catch tray. That causes the print head not to move properly.
The wiper blade may also be tacked to the print head.
That code means the print head is not moving into the print position properly.
That stainless steel block is about 1 inch square.

That machine should still be under warranty. Call xerox and have them check it out.
I looked and that machine has a one year warranty, that includes service.
