SOURCE: dish remote "sat" button light

Hey there, ultra_90, I saw your post! What is sounds like is that the SAT button is stuck and you may need to check it and pry it loose. If that doesn't work, we'll probably have to send you a replacement. Let me know about that and I'll be happy to assist you further!

I have an ol RCA tv, new dish remote everything works but the mute button...i can raise and lower volume, turn off and on but not mute

Hi there Stacey, my name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. We do not promise that our remote will control all the functions of you TV. The codes used to program your DISH remote to the TV may be limited to some functions. You can try addressing your remote to the TV using different codes. I have listed the steps below to assist with programming the remote to your TV. If you have any other questions, let me know at [email protected]!

You can lookup the different codes here: http://www.mydish.com/support/apps/remotecodes.aspx?WT.svl=leftnav

1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if it is working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

Dish Network Remote Codes? Can't seem to get the few I have to work the dish remote

If your remote is a learning remote (has a little black glossy square on the top left side of the remote) you don't need a code, you just need the original remote. Place both remotes on a table, or other flat, sturdy surface, with the original TV remote facing the square on the DISH remote. Make sure both remotes have functioning batteries. On the DISH remote, hold down TV until the button blinks three times, then hold down record (for 5+ seconds) until the TV button lights up and stays on. Then, slowly, for each key you want to use, hit the key on the DISH remote (TV light blinks) then the corresponding key on the original remote (TV light blinks). For example: DISH Volume Up, TV remote Volume Up. When you are done learning all the keys you want to train, hit SAT. The TV light will blink three times, then the SAT light will light up for a moment. Try the DISH remote on your TV functions.

I have an AVol TV and need the Dish Network remote control codes

Hi, my name is Cheri Torres and I am with DISH Network Customer Service. I tried looking up all of our possible remote codes and I was not able to locate any codes for an AVol TV. Instead of using codes to address your DISH remote to your TV you will need to try a power scan. A power scan will normally find the code that works best for your TV for you. I will list here for you the instructions for performing a power scan. I hope you find this information useful. :)

Instructions for performing a power scan
  1. Turn the Television On.
  2. Press and hold the TV mode button until all mode lights light up red.
  3. Press and release the big red power button once.
  4. Press and release the channel Up Arrow on the remote until the television turns off.
  5. After the television turns off, press and release the pound(#) button once.
  6. Test functionality with the TV.
  7. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Dish remote will not control the tv with any of the codes provided. Is there a solution?

Hello!!! Remotes can be tricky sometimes!!! Try a power scan. It scans the TV for the right code, instead of inputting codes.

1. Hold down the Clear TV button until all lights at the top of the remote light up
2. Press the red TV POWER button
3. Press and release the up arrow on the remote about once a second until the tv turns off.
4. When it turns off, press the # (Pound) button
5. Try powering the tv on/off, and try the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over at step 1 again.

Hope this helps!!

Hello, this sounds like you have a problem with your DISH remote. If you are, here are some steps to get it working. The first set of steps is to get it working with the tv, the second for getting it working on your receiver.

TV:

RECEIVER:
1. Go to System Info Screen
2. Press and release the SAT button on the remote one time
3. Press the black and red record button 3 times.
4. The number next to the remote address should change.

Need remote code for LG 32lcd350 TV for dish 3.0 remote

Hi there my name is Kimberly Escobar with DISH Network Customer Support. I understand you need the codes to program a DISH Network remote model 3.0 to an LG T.V. Some of the codes we have are 678, 506, 520,123, 000, 512, and 213. To integrate the code into the remote you would need to press and hold the clear T.V button at the top until all the other top buttons light up in red, then once you see them light up you would need to enter one of your codes followed by the pound key (#) for example if you choose code 678 it would be 678#. After you press pound the T.V button will flash in red 3 times after that try the remote and make sure it functions with your T.V. I hope this is helpful to you. You can also view this link http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/power-scan-instructions which contains information on how to program your remote to your T.V using a different procedure. If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to contact us directly at 1800-333-DISH thank you.

I had my dish installed to one tv. Now i switched out the tv for another one how do i get my dish to work with the new tv

Hi there this is Kimberly Escobar with DISH Network. I will be glad to help you by providing you the information that can help you. To program the DISH Network remote with your T.V we usually integrate a code into the remote that works with the brand of your T.V allowing our remote to function with the T.V itself by reading your post you don't mention the brand of your television but that is not a problem there is another way to help program your remote without having to use a code, it is called Power Scan in the Power scan procedure we search for the code that gets the remote to control your T.V. To perform a Power Scan your T.V must be on, you press and hold the T.V button until all the other buttons at the top light up in red. Once they light up in red you enter the number 500, you wait for the top buttons to go off and the you will press and hold once again the T.V button until the buttons light up again once you see them come on you will press the big red Power button on the remote once immediately after you press the big red power button you will press one repeatedly the channel up arrow one time after another until T.V turns off immediately after it goes off press the pound button (#) you should see the T.V button light up 3 times then try turning the T.V back on using the remote it should work. Here is this link http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/power-scan-instructions it shows you the procedures. I hope you find this helpful if you have any questions or need further assistance please contact us directly at 1800-333-DISH thank you.
