Try to convert these files using softwares such as 3gp converter or Ultra Converter. These are just sample softwares, you may download your own choice which is more convenient for you.Only then can you view these files in your SE K800i.

My fukuda dvd player plays video files (AVI) from flashdisk (USB) but... the sound is not smooth...

Most DVD players only accept MPEG-2 in standard VOBs. Some of the older standalone DVD players do not play AVI at all. Now some of the newer DVD players support AVI encoded with DivX. Look into the player manual, it'll tell you what formats are supported. If the DVD player does not support AVI, it will fail to play AVI files even if we have successfully burn AVI to DVD disc.

In order to successfully play all kinds of AVI files on any DVD player model, an all-in-one solution is to convert AVI to DVD player more compatible format.

Sony Vegas Movie studio 8.0 - I put in pictures, video and music, but only the music plays. No video or photos appear when I play the video

Because Sony Vegas support WMV, MPG (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4), MP4, MOV, ASF, SWF, FLV, etc. It doesn't support .avi format. So I want to know your video files format.

If ur video file format is .avi format or other video format that Sony Vegas doesn't support. We need convert AVI files into WMV, MPG, MP4, MOV supported by Sony Vegas. AVI to Sony Vegas is a good solution to import AVI to Sony Vegas for editing.

Video Converter Platinum is the most advanced AVI to Sony Vegas Converter software which can convert HD videos (inc.HD TS, HD MPG, HD MPEG, HD MP4, HD AVI), TOD, MOD, MTS, AVI (DivX, Xvid, etc.), QuickTime Video, 3GP, VOB, etc to Sony Vegas.

How do we convert avi to mpeg?

The method for doing this is to use a piece of software such as WinAVI you will then be able to convert .avi files to an MPEG format. You will need to know which formats of MPEG your DVD player wil support such as MPEG, MPEG2, MPEG3, MPEG4.

Otherwise you should be able to purchase a new DVD player which will support multiple formats like, Dvix (.avi) WMV, etc, etc

My Kodak M820 8

yes avi should play on that.. but i think that kind of device(frame) is like some of the mp4s that includes avi in the features but will have problems playing avi type of files.... ... i dunno if this is useful coz i dont think i have the answers to correct it... maybe u can just convert the files in other filetype that your frame can read....

i read this from wikipedia

The AVI container has no native support for modern MPEG-4 features like B-Frames. Hacks are sometimes used to enable modern MPEG-4 features and subtitles, however, this is the source of playback incompatibilities.
AVI files do not contain pixel aspect ratio information. Microsoft confirms that "many players, including Windows Media Player, render all AVI files with square pixels. Therefore, the frame appears stretched or squeezed horizontally when the file is played back."[1] There are other video container formats that allow irregular shaped pixels.
More modern container formats (such as QuickTime, Matroska, Ogg and MP4) offer more flexibility, however, projects based on the FFmpeg project, including ffdshow, MPlayer, xine, and VLC media player, have solved most problems with viewing AVI format video files.

pls do update me if you've resolve the problem

There are tons of programs that will do this automaticly for you. You just load the file and select the output and start. Some are free, but those with more features will charge for the program. Try download.com and type avi to mpeg converter. You can also try videohelp.com. They have forums for assistance as well as software recomendations.
