Gopale, sorry to let you know that if u have forgotten the password, then u will not be able to login under normal conditions. if ur computer has another user account with administrator rights, then you can login that account and change the password of your profile. then logout and login ur account. u can also reboot the system in the safe mode and login as the administrator. usually the administrator does not have a password. from here u can go the user controls and reset your password.

How do i change my password and get a new password

If you lost windows password, you could enter into safe mode (F8 when booting up) to retrieve windows password while you forgot user account password, but when you forgot admin password, there is no way to change it, you need to use a software application to recover administrator password. A week ago, I forgot my Windows admin password. Last, I used Windows Password Seeker to recover my Windows password successfully. It's worth a try.

Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, double-click on the User Accounts icon.
  3. In the pick an account to change area of the User Accounts window, click on your Windows XP user name.
  4. Choose the Change my password link.
