You may be able to download a Windows 7 printer driver for your model printer from the HP WEB site. If there is not one available, then HP considers this printer too old or not compatible with Windows 7 and they want you to upgrade your printer.

Sorry to inform you, but it appears that the printer is not compatible with Windows 7, which i think is installed in your new computer. I have checked the HP's website and they have not listed any drivers for Window 7 for this printer. It does not mean that, we can't try to install it in this computer. Windows 7 has a very good feature called Troubleshoot Compatibility mode, in which we can try to install those drivers in the computer which are compatible with the older version of the Windows.
right click the driver setup file and click on properties. In the properties window go to compatibility tab and choose 'run this program on compatibility mode' and select windows xp. Now click and try running the setup again. Hopefully it might help you solve the problem.
