Question about Projection Televisions

Samsung HC-P4752W 47in", is showing double picture

My tv is Samsung HC-P4752W 47in" . i have had this tv for 3 years, now it started showing a double picture that almost looks like shadow, so please let me know how to fix this problem

Your Convergence ICs need to be replaced you will need two STK392-010 ICs you can get replacements at the following link, and they provide free instalation instructions with pics so you can do the repair yourself and save about 400 dollars. They also have free online instant messageing while you do the repair in case you need additional help when doing the repair. Heres the link.

Thats usually related to the convergence Ics and the 3.9 ohm resistors needing replacement.

The HC-P4752W doesnt have a lamp. Thats a rear projection it has three picture tubes.

I think you have a fault on the chroma board and on the picture frame board. If you can trace it yourself try these two locations otherwise call out a competant technician. hope this helps.

Double vision


My television is a hc-p4752w and the color convergence is way off. The red and green are not together and curl away from the top of the screen and bottom too. I tried to auto focus with only making the color separation worse. The tv is about four years old with lots of play time...
I am a aircraft mechanic with some electronics training so I don't mind replacing components I just don't know where to start and have no troubleshooting manual for help. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

2 1/2 years new Samsung HC-P4752W from Costco, Canada


Samsung makes a great product and has one of the best pictures out there. I have had mine for a couple of years and only experience a slight convergience issue on left and right sides of the screen after twenty minutes of run time. I am currently trying to figure out how to fix it.
