Read instructions and see if it says anything about cleaning or filters. A.C units **** air in and there is a filter that probably needs cleaned. Also, while cooling, the vent to the outside should put out warm air. Also, if it is less than a year old, contact the manufacturer and they should help you out. Good luck.
I had similar problem .... on very humid days unit leaks ..... temp solution for me was to drain the unit .... inserted wire coat hanger into tube .... lots of watery gook came out.. - even tilted/tipped the unit inorder to get as much water out of it.......afterwards unit worked fine.
We are VERY SASTIFIED with the Delonghi Pinguino - bought it years ago when it first came out and it has provided years of troublefree service .... the water build up / leaking was only recently - in fact we never drained the thing until this year.
I had the same problem with my Delonghi K900. I have an extended warrantee for both my Delonghi air conditioners. It was taken into the shop and discovered that the hose that allows the water to drip into the collecting tank was clogged with dirt and dust.
I find it is a good idea to have them cleaned and checked once a year, especially if used often.
For under a hundred dollars, I have a warrantee that will last until the year 2010. Sears offers warrantees for any home appliance, even if it wasn't purchased there.
Taking the air conditioner apart yourself can cancel any warrantee on them machine.
Hope this helps.
