Sometime Spyware will prohibit you from getting to a site. Try running a spyware remover program like spybot search and destroy or microsoft defender make sure they are updated.

Depending on how old the computer is, BIOS updates may not be available for the motherboard, since companies wants you to go out and buy new hardware.

Problems with IBM Xseries 346 Server

Check Light Path Diagnostic which is located on the front side of server . It gives a clue of what's the issue . If you can't see any amber on Light Path Diagnostic , then its an indication of max logs logged on BIOS event logs. You may need to restart server > Get into Bios and clear all event logs . This would remove the information sympol from server .

What kind of memory for IBM XEON xseries 226 need 4 gigs. help

First, find out exactly what is in it now.
Google "CPUZ"
Download the zip file and extract it.
Run the program and it will provide the exact speed, size and slot locations of your installed memory modules.
Then contact a major memory vendor such as or
Let them know what you have in your server and they will tell you how to get to 4GB.
One more thing, make sure that you have the absolute latest BIOS installed. BIOS updates frequently include support for faster memory. Get the BIOS from IBM's website. You will need the exact model number. It should be on the front of the case by the serial number.

Vote for this solution if it helps.

The good news is IBM says it will work, the BIOS might require an upgrade. I would consult and get the latest updates for your hardware after that insert CD and reboot!
Have Fun.
