Samsung 40" LED TV - UN40D5550RFXZA Plug in, shows startup screen, powers off, then repeats. Power Board or Main Board?

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Samsung plasma will come on red light blinks every 10 secs

Issue would seem to be in the power supply for the set but could be elsewhere---first place to look if you are able is the power board--power cord goes directly to that. If able look for any puffed up caps or any physical signs of damage parts on that board, there may or may not be signs to see but worth looking at first.

Here are photos of bad filter caps from mild to extremely puffed ones:

Laptop will not power on. light will come on for about 1 sec.. ??

When you plug in the power cord is there any lights whatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of the power cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for a second or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with the laptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issue when you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoever when you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you was operating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cord is bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the power cord is bad.

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the battery out) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can put the battery back in and let it charge.Maybe your DC Power Jack which is where the power cord plugs into the computer is bad. Take an ink pen and push the tip inside the jack and see if the little pin wiggles, if so the jack is bad. You'll have to take the laptop apart to fix it. Most times it is soldered onto the motherboard, so you will have to desolder the old and solder a new one.

Maybe you have a bad memory chip.
Remove the Power Cord, Remove the battery, remove the cover that houses the memory then remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

You may need to replace the cmos battery, its a cr2032 3v button cell
Make sure all your expansion cards and memory are reseated.
Make sure all cables are reseated.
your power supply could be bad

If that doesn't work try this

Here is my fix for the dell dimension 4400 amber light problem. It works!
replace cmos battery.
then unplug power cord form wall about 5-10 secs.
then plug it back in, wait 5 secs.
If amber light comes on, press and hold power button until it goes out.

(with light out, press and hold power button while amber light comes on and goes off again holding power button 2-3 secs after light goes out.) repeat whats in parenthesis until computer turns on
it should only take about 6, 7 tries.

After the computer boots, you may want to setup cmos or boot into windows.
After you shutdown, unplug power cord for 5-10 secs then plug it back in.
Press and hold the power button, computer should come on.
I found that's the only way to turn on the computer.
If you shutdown and don't unplug power cord the computer may not boot, mine didn't.
Strange I'd say

Power light blinking yellow after sitting a while

Unplug computer, disconnect all usb/monitor/internet, open it, hold power button until green led on the inside on the motherboard turns off, pop out the BIOS battery (looks like a big watch battery and use a small flathead screwdriver to depress the spring lock on one side), plug in computer, hold power button for about 20 seconds (must reset BIOS or something), let up on power button, wait 10 seconds and push power button. The computer should turn on. Wait for it until activity seems stable (1 min. or so). Push powerbutton to shut off.

If this has worked you have proven that it's not the power supply (it turned on).

Go buy a new battery (CR2032 3 volt). Unplug computer, open it, hold power button until green led on the inside on the motherboard turns off, pop in new battery, plug in (you should notice the power button blinking amber again), hold power button until it stops blinking (about 20 sec....again must reset BIOS or something), wait 10 sec., push power button. the computer should turn on. Wait for it until activity seems stabe (1 min. or so). Push powerbutton to shut off.

Now, close case, plug in all usb/monitor/internet/etc. Power up computer. You'll get an internal floppy drive error. Push F2 (maybe F1) to get into the BIOS settings and go to "drives" and turn off the internal floppy. Save and exit. The computer should boot properly now.

This seems to be a big problem with the e510, my theory is that this one small battery is the root of most of these failures (as these computers usually fail after 1-2 years), not the power supply or the motherboard (heck, when you replace the motherboard it comes with a new one of these batteries...a several hundred dollar piece of hardware, with a $5 battery that will actually fix it).

FAST BLINKING GREEN & WON'T POWER ON

I had exactly this problem. After plugging and unplugging it multiple times over several weeks (even plugging it in quickly after it was unplugged but with the green light still flashing as suggested here) all to no avail, it just started working on its own one day. It worked for a few weeks and then the problem re-appeared.

InFocus tech support recommended:
1. Check whether the lamp door is securely closed.
2. Check the color of the LED and the number of time it blinks. (For me, a very fast almost flickering flash)
3. Does the fan operate? (My fan would go on when plugged in)
4. Remove the lamp module, shake it gently and reseat the lamp module.

For me, these steps did not work. InFocus then recommended that I send it to ProjectorDoctor http://online.projectordoctor.com/, and it was diagnosed with a bad power supply. $395, but it is fully functional again. Good luck.........

Mitsubishi WS-65313 - Will not turn on

The most common failure are the two convergence integrated circuits part # 267P173010. The two pico fuses may be open as well, which come from the power supply and provide +24 volts and -24 volts.
