Question about Wacom Graphire A5 (CTE630BT) Graphic Tablet

Tablet will not turn on

My tablet was working perfectly yesterday. Now today, when I pressed its power button, it doesn't light up, plus it won't turn on. The strangest thing is, the charge light on the right is still displaying, but for whatever reason, my tablet won't turn on. Help please?

The power light just blinks and remains in connection mode instead of turning on :/

Won't turn on, charge light is still on. I've had this problem in the past, but usually it will turn itself on in a few /hours/minutes/days. Not happening this time.

When this has happened before, I've unuplugged and replugged that battery, but that's not working this time either.

I had the exact same problem. Finally, I pressed all the three buttons, power, left click and right click buttons and held it for several seconds. After that, the tablet turned on.

Unplugging the tablet would not hurt it in anyway. A power surge can cause such a problem though. Typically the problem you are describing is caused by bad flash memory which is what all tablets use and run on Like a....Example: A Solid State Drive "SSD"

My G-Pen 4500 tablet won't work after I upgraded my photoshop to CS5.1 but it works perfectly fine on photoshop CS2. I'd already tried re-installing the driver and changing the compatibility... Please

The best way to get out of that trouble is to uninstall all CS applications and re-install the one you would like to use. CS5 came with alot of new features and in a way, upgrading CS1 to CS5 would surely give you a bit of a headache.

Does the mouse work (on the tablet)? What happens when the side buttons are pressed do they work? Try un-installing the Wacom driver (Pen Tablet Utility) and Install the latest version from www.wacom.com and see if that helps.

Cant open configuration for wacom tablet

if you're using windows XP (like me), try this:
open the configuration window, at least as far as possible. then enter the task manager, right click the wacom tablet configurator and choos "maximize". no perfect solution, as you have to do it everytime you want to change something, but still better than nothing.

Blinking lights no response

I was able to fix this same problem by doing a hard reset, and re-synching with my computer.
To do a hard reset, press the power button and the two center buttons, all at the same time. Hold them down for about 10 seconds - when you let go, the tablet will start trying to synch again. Once you go through the synching steps again, everything should work properly.
