Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

We have an HP C6280 All-In-One PCS and it will no longer copy or scan. Also, it won't turn off consistently. Happened out of the clear blue... It still prints online. Thanks, Marcia

The first thing to always try is a hard reset, try unplugging it for a minute and replugging it in and see if it starts working. Let me know how this goes and we can try getting it to work from here.

    also make sure that the scanner/printer is still showing up in the control panel.

    you may also try a system restore before this happened by going to Start>Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>System Restore

    The system restore will not delete anything important and is reversible. Also since the copy function isn't totally related to the computer, the above may not help at all but is still worth a try. Please let me know how this goes and please answer the question I asked in your other thread, thanks

    this is what I got from HP

    Follow the steps mentioned on the webpage and check for the
    functionality, however, if the issuer persists, perform the steps
    mentioned below:

    A semi-full reset will do the following:
    The user settings to the factory defaults, Language and country settings on some models.

    Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by using these instructions:

    1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on.

    2. Press and hold start black and start color buttons while plugging in the power cord.

Do you have an Anti-Virus program installed on your PC? If so, can you try and disable it before you print.

Scanner failure cannot copy or scan


Hi,

Turn off the printer. Clean the Scanner Glass with lint free cloth. Wait till the water dries.

Try connecting your printer directly to wall outlet or different outlet

This should help

Its not software issue,for copying you need not required any software, just plug in power & take copy, if copy is not happening, its definitely printer faulty only..
Open flat bed, check scan head,mechanism & cable,if found any breakage in mechanism,scan head or cable, replace it & check..If its difficulty for you submit unit in service center..

Device manager will not load drivers for Hp c6280


You might have to load the software for it.Before you begin download the latest drivers and install file for it.Unplug the device start to load the software only plug the device in when you are told by the software,hopefully this should take care of this.
