SOURCE: I can not find the "Inv" button...

There is an inverse button below the math button, but if you hit second and the tan it should give you the inverse of tan. Hope this is what you wanted

That means that you know your calc crashed. This can be caused by taking out the batteries durring running time, happened just randomly. Well nothing to fear just press clear and it should go away but if it stays on that screen you have problems and is best to try some of these methods. Take out all the bateries and press and hold the on button for 30 seconds. Put the batteries back in and it should have reset. Warning you should archive everything incase this happens. To archive go to 2nd mem and hit enter to put a astrick next to the app (meaning archived)

How do i get inv on my TI-84 Plus caculator

To get the inverse trigonometric functions press the 2nd key then the trig function key. If you'll look at the key legends above the SIN, COS, and TAN keys you'll see the standard math notations for their inverse function.

I can not find the arc key or the INV key

The INV key that you may find on some scientific calculators has, on the TI 83/84/ Plus calculators, an equivalent key marked [2nd].

On the TI83/84 Plus, each trigonometric function has a second marking [SIN^-1], [COS^-1] or [TAN^-1]. To calculate the inverses of trigonometric functions ( arc sine, arc cosine, arc tangent) you press [2nd] followed by the relevant trigonometric function key For example, [2nd] [SIN] displays sin^-1( on the command line.

Unfortunately the hyperbolic functions and their inverses are only accessed through the CATALOG. You press [2nd][0] to open the CATALOG. Then you scroll down the CATALOG list to reach cosh(, cosh^-(, sinh(, sinh^-1(, tanh(, or tanh^-1(.
To speed the search in the catalog, you use the ALPHA keyboard: To reach cosh(, press[PRGM] and you scroll down from there.

How do i work out the Sin, Cos, and Tan on the TI-83 plus?

First, make sure you have the appropriate angular mode set. To change the angular mode, press MODE, use the arrow keys to highlight either "RADIAN" or "DEGREE" on the third line, press ENTER, then press 2ND [QUIT].

Press the appropriate sin, cos, or tan key (two rows above the 7, 8, and 9 keys), enter the angle, close the parenthesis, and press ENTER. For example, to calculate the sin of 2.1, press
SIN 2 . 1 ) ENTER

My TI-83 calculator doesnt gives me the solutions for tangents that have a negative number. Ex. tan(-1) -5/2

Once you reset your calculator, everything should be fine. Sometimes your calculator's memory stores your cos, tan, and sin and messes up your calucations.T o reset your calculator:
  1. Press 2nd then MEM (which is above the + key)
  2. Press 7 to reset
  3. Press 2 for default
  4. Press 2 again to reset defaults
  5. Press enter
  6. Done.
You should be able to get the answer for that, which is 3.8935, in radians at least. :)
