- Hi again
Jaymie78,
Let's recap:
1. you have a flashdrive that became unformatted;
2. being so it is now RAW and therefore CHKDSK will not work;
3. you have tried several file recovery program (including
GetDataBack?) and none worked; and
4. you have tried the same flashdrive on other PCs and likewise cannot be accessed.
From all appearances, the flashdrive is a goner (and unfortunately so are the files). Worst case scenario, you can try:
a.
Format the flashdrive. Of course the files will be erased but technically they are no longer there in the first place hence a recovery cannot be performed, and then immediately thereafter;
b. do file recovery using
bestdarngood's posted software or those that I have posted specially
GetDataBack.
Rationale: There is nothing to loose as they are already lost. By formatting, you are making the flashdrive readable. Using the file recovery software, there is still a chance that some of the files would be recovered even if the drive has been formatted. Of course this is at best a 50-50 chance since other than this (based on your post that none of the file recovery software works), nothing works.
