I have the cord that plugs into the front of the sterio but i can not get the mp3 to play on my stereo. Is there a special mode that it has to be on or what. I have the CMT-HPX9

Usually when plugging in an MP3 player to a bookshelf sysytem or component system, the mode should be selected to auxillary for the mp3 player to work.
