Enlight ATX cases with Nspire Power supply

By pandamama - usenet poster

I have rescently bought an  ATX Enlight case for my Abit LX6
mainboard. I have built several systems prior using all Enlight ATX
cases. They however had Enlight 250 watt power supplies. The case I
currently have came mith an NSpire 250 watt power supply. It is rather
noisy when I first turn it on and then it quites down after a couple
minutes. Does this have something to do with a "smart fan " feature?
What's the word on Nspire in comparison to Enlight? Is is junk , as good
or better than the Enlight power supply? The model number is MAU-250P1.
I need some feedback on this, just in case the vendor is trying to give
me 2nd rate crap .

 Thanx.....Hodgi

Nspire is the house-brand of ASI (Asia Sources, Inc.) - ASI is a
multi-office importer/distributor that has a pretty decent reputation. I
believe the Nspire power supplies are built by Kingspao (there's a
relationship between ASI and Kingspao).

As for quality, they're ok - I put them on par with the Enlight power
supplies.

Another note, I've been seeing Enlight ATX mid-tower cases with SPI
power supplies - I don't think the original manufacturer of the Enlight
power supplies (Bestec) had an ATX 2.01 power supply so I guess Enlight
started using SPI's ATX 2.01's.
