mine also did that for a while on and off doesnt so much do that anymore now that i cant use the keypad..I wish i didnt get such a long contract.

How long ago did you get your phone. It is store policy to exchange your phone within the first 30days of purchase. I have done that with Sprint. You might want to ask the cell phone provider to run a check on your phone and to update it for free. If you are under the 30 days warranty and the agent doesn't want to help you ask to speak to a manager and tell them you will report them to the Department of consumer affair in your city.
