The machine is not blocked and only works backwards. No green led or apropiate shred is posible. What shoul i do?

There is a light sensor that is blocked by the paper that tells the machine to turn on when paper is loaded for shredding, it is most likely blocked with debris for a previous shredding.

Does it run backwards? If it runes in the right direction, it should take paper. You only should use the reverse, when the machine got stuck. But perhaps it now is running back. Or something broke, so the motor is running, but not driving the mechanical parts inside.

Take care, because this thing can also shred your fingers.
Remove the plug from the outlet and try to remove the paper under the rolls. Us a tool, not your fingers. It even would be better, if you could put the top upside down, so you could see where the bulk of paper is clothing the wheels and the sensor.
I think you already emptied the bag under the shredder, because the paper full sensor also prevents the shredder from running forwards.

Let the motor cool

it could be that a paper or a staple is on the sensor and the machine wil not stop until it will be cleaned
its posible that a staple is on the electronic board and short the circuit

could have a blocked drain/ coin trap. Look under the washer behind a panel or in the back. You may have to take out screws

Their are sensors on top and bottom of cutter asm. Good chance one or more are dirty, blocked with paper shreds or just bad. Clean with compressed air and lightly moistened cotton swab.

Simple cleaning may solve this. Use some compressed air first on the sensors that are located just below the opening on top and in the center. Then also may be two sensors underneith the cutter blades. Make sure the power in disconnected first. Then a cotton swab to gently wipe any residue from them.

It sounds as if your Bin full sensors are dirty and need to be cleaned. You should contact Fellowes at 1-800-945-4545.

Sounds to me like a the main control board is fried. That smell was probably a resistor or a rectifier burning. The fact that you hadn't oiled the shredder in 3 years didn't help, probably put an extreme load on the drive motor. You might be better off, shopping for a new shredder, unless this is a high end industrial strength model.
