Hello,

Based on what you have stated your Dell monitor is dead. Seek support/replacement under warranty. If you purchase this with a credit card you have a double warranty through your credit card. You'll have to suffer through Dell's phone support to allow them to troubleshoot your dead monitor but be patient and a new or newer model will be on its way to you soon.

Hope this helped you and fixed your dilemma.

Optiplex 755 blinking amber light, simple solution, I'm no IT professional.

If the power light is blinking amber, the computer is receiving electrical power, but an internal power problem might exist.A power supply or system board failure has occurred. Try to isolate the problem by removing or disconnecting all cards, i.e. video, sound cards and disconnecting CD/DVD and hard drives.

Dell E173FPb monitor blinks as if it is altanatively losing power

It's probably time to replace the monitor. Try using a different monitor and see if it blinks, if not the problem is your monitor. If the different monitor blinks your video card where the monitor plugs into the computer is going bad.

I have a black screen with a slow blinking green power button. I checked the connections they are good. I have another monitor that works fine with the same computer, and cable.

Please check your screen resolution the best resolution is 1024 x 768 on xp or if ur vedio card supports set it on 1260 x 768 for the display setting.

Screen goes black, but power light is on (not blinking)

The problem is not with your screen. Its the problem of Video Card of your system which is unable to send Video Signals to the Screen.

E173fpb panal. blinking power light

Take the 4 screws out of the stand and remove it. Remove the 2 screw in monitor cable plug bolts.
Put a steel ruler or butter knife between the seam on the side of the monitor and prize open. This is tough but be sure not to insert your prying tool too far and dont start on a corner. Once a few clips have popped it will come apart easier.
