Mine is a slightly newer model (1960's pink) and out of the wall at the moment so we looked last night. The nameplate is located just below the opening to the oven, in the center, open the door and look down, riveted on. Maybe yours is there too?

I have a GE rapid clean II J55BF-1 wall mount oven needs to replace the baking element. Did someone happen to know the part number of the replacement baking element ?

To find the correct replacement baking element for your GE Rapid Clean II J55BF-1 wall mount oven, you can try the following steps:
  1. Locate the model and serial number of your oven. This information is usually found on a label on the inside of the oven door or on the back of the oven.
  2. Visit the GE Appliances website or use an online appliance parts retailer to search for the part using your oven model number.
  3. Look for the baking element part number in the oven's user manual or service manual. These manuals may be available online or from the manufacturer.
  4. If you are still having trouble finding the correct part number, consider contacting the manufacturer's customer service department for assistance.
Once you have the correct part number, you can order the replacement baking element and follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation.

Ge true temp oven

Sometimes you will have to pull the oven out to get access to the connector for the sensor. It could be jammed in the back or the hole is just too small to pull the connector through the wall.

Electric range surface elements not working after self clean cycle.

It sounds like it is broken. You can bypass it by connecting the 2 wires together. This should be fine until you replace it. They aren't that expensive.

GE Monogram Range igniters keep firing even when oven is off.

I had the same problem. Had GE out, they said it might be something but they'd have to take the cooktop off and it might be $300 or it might not. I unplugged it and now use matches.
