I need a battery charger for my camera. It's a 5-volt charger.
Any idea where I can get one? or something that is compatible?
Radio Shack doesn't sell it anymore and I can't find one at any other store.

Check the charger output, it should be about 4-5 volts higher than the battery pack voltage rating. If the charger voltage output checks ok then the battery pack is defective. Any Radio Shack store can test the charger for you.
It is likely the fault is the battery and not the charger. To confirm this take the charger to any Radio Shack and ask them to test the charger or if you have a small meter do it yourself, the charging voltage will be up to 5 volts more than the rated battery voltage of the drill, so if you get a high reading don't worry about it. Fast charger will be way over the battery rating, also fast chargers have a cost, they shorten battery life due to heat. I have had many battery powered tools, I have found that the batteries last about 2 years on average. I have this same Dewalt drill driver.
there are several power cords on ebay for your camera as well as new batteries if you need one. Do an ebay search for MV 800 charger, here is an example of one I found. http://cgi.ebay.com/Desktop-Charger-Canon-MV800i-Camcorder-/380317041118?pt=Batteries_Chargers&hash=item588ca981de#ht_3278wt_1141
Radio Shack no longer markets a charger/adapter made specifically for the PRO-82, but the 6-volt Enercell AC adapter with a size C Adaptaplug will work with your scanner. Radio Shack total retail for the pair is $30, and you can probably find them on line for even less. You might even luck out and find a compatible 6v wall wart on eBay.
If it is out of warranty open it up and check the fuse inside. This has happened to me several times with several brands, and it has always been the fuse. They are usually replaceable at Radio Shack or the Auto Parts Store.
no, i did the same thing and they work fine on the home charger but i cannot find a real car charger for this. i used the universal one and that is what probably burned. check your home adapter. bad thing is is that these do not have batteries so we NEED the adapter that i cannot find!
