Usually our CPU is on the floor or under the table, the common problem is signal, try to put your CPU on the table to roam a wider range. if still not much signal, just change your antenna with a better one.

i had that problem with another adapter, then i figured out that i was having problems with another pci adapter. so if you have another pci at the same time, try unplugging it and left the wmp300n alone, it worked for me

I have many problems (freezing, etc...) with my Wireless-N PCI adapter Linksys model WMP300N EU V2. I am using Windows XP SP2. Thanks alot.

I had the same problem and fix is surprisingly simple however i have the U.S. V1 of the card but to fix i uninstalled the card and all of the packaged linksys drivers. Then i reinserted the card into my PC and when windows started i got a little "Found New Hardware" pop-up and at the first part of the wizard I told it to search for a driver using windows update. It found a driver it proved to be much more stable than the one packaged with the card. No more system halts.

No internet access with new Linksys wireless PCI Adapter

Don .bin is a firmware that can upload to the linksys router or any router.

So it seems that your unable to connect wirelessly using the linksys adapter? The Internet connection before is working properly?

*I might advise you to reinstall the driver of your wireless adapter using the latest driver that you can download in there support site.

- Check the Internet connection hardwired to the router if connection works it seems that problem is on the adapter.

If it says local or unidentified network that means you are just connected to the router on the network but not through the internet. Try to go to manage wireless network, remover your network there and add it again, connect to your own network and make sure to type the correct network key., then check again. You can also try connecting to other wireless network to further isolate the problem.

Disable or uninstall the Linksys software that manages and monitors the connection.

Use instead the Microsoft Windows Wireless configuration utility.

That's what I did and didn't get problem after.

Wireless signal degredation

Disable and renable wireless card, even try unistalling the wireless card and reinstall it. update driver for wireless card. then if those fail, put pc next to router if signal still bad then card needs replaced. If your ISP didnt have you power off the router for 30 sec then do so.
