Question about Sony Computers & Internet
I keep getting a blue screen which reads:
Problem has been detected and window has been shut down to prevent damage.
If this is the first time...
Follow - check to be sure you have adequate disk space.
If driver is identified in the stop message. Disable drive and check with manufacturer for updates.
Try changing video adapters, chek with hardware vender for any bios updates, disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use Safe mode....

You possibly have a restore partition on your drive can you borrow a xp home cd from a friend if so let me know

Your problem may be due to so many reason you have to check your ram the check your hard drive then you disconnect your optical drive, you have to do it one after one and see which is giving problem, if still you have problem plz post for futher assistance.
