Generic problem for all Projection Televisions

Have 2001 Hitachi 53swx12b rear

Have 2001 Hitachi 53swx12b rear projection hdtv that when magic focus button is pressed (static mode) appears on screen. and cross appears on screen . attempted to manually adjust convergence and cannot get out of this mode and manually converge RBG

I have the same problem.
