Remove the front panel, two screws on bottom. On the bottom of the motor is a white colored pump, if the water is coming from there you need to replace the pump. you can find this part on line, just google Amana washer parts.

Water is leaking when ice maker gets water from main line, it leaks from the small plastic hose where the line goes into the top / back portion of the frig

In most cases that is caused by a slow water leak in that side of the dual water control valve. When your ice maker calls for water it turns the water on for about 7.5 seconds and water is sent to fill the ice tray. But if water should slowly ooze by the valve while off the water tends to freeze in the end of the fill tube causing the ice to make the water go everywhere but the correct place. Sometimes the fill tube can be cracked by this problem. Using a hair dryer will help for the temporary time. Best thing to do is turn the water supply off at its source and remove the water control valve and clean out any debris that may be causing the valve to stick open and a pre-filter before the valve is needed in severe cases. Sometimes the valve has the seat damaged and will need replaced. Yours is part number=> 4389177 If you have questions or require more help please let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

MY kitchenaid mixer has always oozed oil but suddenly today I can no longer attach the dough hook. The spring doesn't want to move enough for me to attach it. It was fine yesterday.

The oil that is "oozing" is actually grease. If it is laying on its side the grease will leak out but isn't really an issue. If it is leaking while the machine is right side up, it usually means you have a problem with the seal. When it comes to the spring not bending allowing the attachments to lock onto the shaft, that is a bizarre problem as the spring is just tension and isn't internally attached to anything inside the machine. If you want you can replace the planetary gear but that seems a bit drastic just for the spring. We usually recommend 1800Parts for parts and accessories because they carry EVERYTHING! So the seal they might have but I would bring the machine to someone to look at the planetary gear to make sure everything is in working order. If you are in New York you can bring it to us.

My water heater outlet connection is leaking.

Yes. If the nut is not cross threaded. Try using a garden hose washer. I think that's going to be the right size.
