Contact Samsung online through customer support and technical support to see if you can purchase a disc or download the files. ebay has a vast amount of hardware and software, worth a shot.

The disc is corrupt, and therefore unusable.

my problem is u r tell me how do make video capture to computer because i will connect to camera and pc after canting sow no disc in my pc

I had the same problem with my Hope mono-mini.
I took it into a shop and the guy showed my ruffly what to do.

On the side that the disk is rubbing you need to put a spacer on the bolt between the brake mount and the bike's mount.
If done correctly (or understood what i meant) it will pull the pad away from the disk a little bit and it will stop rubbing.

cant you need download the driver for the camera
and on vista the computer recognize the camera

I have had a similar problem with new Movie DVDs' - I don't think the DAV-S500 can handle the new Dual Layer DVDs.

I put the DVD in my laptop and it read it straight away with no probs............

It's not your discs. BELIEVE ME!
We had the same problem, and had to exchange the camera.
New camera had the same problem.
We personally think there is a defect in this brand.
Too many people are having the same problem.
I called Canon and they blame JVC and Memorex which was recommended.
Called the disc manufacture and they blame Canon.
Canon did tell me not to fill up the disc and then try to finalize it.
Try a test disc and only film about 10mins of it and see if you can finalize it.
Make sure you are plugged into an outlet when trying to finalize.
We just hooked up our camera to a DVD recorder and transfered all images to a standard size disc.
Either they are not telling you the proper way to finalize in the manuel or this camera has a major defect.
At least we know we haven't lost any images by copying onto a full size disc.

Put it back in the Camera and see if it tells you the disc is finalized when it tries to format the disc. If it does then you know for sure it is finalized..
