Why can't I download my photos? I have had no problem in the past. I had a virus which was removed, and since then a few things have not worked. Its windows XP

If you can view the photos on your camera, and they are stored on a removable device (such as a Sandisk), then you should be able to load the removable device into a computer and copy the photos using Explorer. If this does not work with Windows XP, it could be due to the fact that Windows XP is no longer supported with upgrades. I would try to upload the photos to a computer running a current version of Windows (scan the removable device for malware before uploading to the computer). If that works, it's time to upgrade your computer. (I upgraded my XP computer to a Linux OS.)

I cannot upload photos into Craigslist while using Windows 7. I had no problem with Windows XP. Resizing the photos does not help. Can you help? Is it a defect with Win. 7? I also have problems...

Hi,
I don't think which OS you are using to upload a image to Craigslist. Means whether Win XP, Win7, Mac or any other os doesn't have n=anything to do with Craigslist's uploading.
As you said there might be some problem in Win7 finding a path through a third party method. See whether you system requirement for installing Win7. If the system requirement does not achieve the minimum such problems can arise in win7.
Hope this helps, please rate and let me know if any assistance needed, thanks!

How to upload photos from my computer to my sandisk stick

1. 1st go to the folder where you have the photos bring this up as a window and then minimize it by clicking the minus sign in the upper right side of the screen.
2. Insert your Sandisk usb stick into one of the USB port located either in the front of you desktop/ laptop or the back. The USB stick then should be detected by the Windows Operating System.
3. Now that the Operating system has detected the USB memory stick select the stick and then right click and click "new folder" a folder will then be created ( name the folder what you want it to be ) so that you will be able to find it when locating you data.
4. Now maximize the folder that you have the photos on and go to "edit" at the top left hand side of the window and on the drop down menu and select "select all" then select "copy" then minimize this window
5. Go to the Sandisk window and maximize it. Then right click and select "paste" this will move a copy of all the photos that you selected in the location where your photos are stored and transfer them to the Sandisk flash drive. That's it! you have now a copy of the photos to your portable drive.
I hope this helped. Have a great day!

How to use or install windows xp uploader to use in uploading photos in friendster?

Hi,

This is a multi-stage process ... it takes some effort to get it working but it is worth it in the end

first, on Friendster's Upload Photos page, click the link for the "Windows XP Uploader Wizard" to download and install the registry file that enables the "XP Publishing Wizard" ... just click on "Open" in the Download Complete dialog or double click the xppubwiz.reg file ... now when you open My Computer and select your photo you will see a new option in the left-hand pane under "File and Folder Tasks" entitled "Publish this file to the Web" ... click on that to launch the Web Publishing Wizard

click Next and it will give you the opportunity to "Change Your File Selection" by checking and unchecking the corresponding boxes, but since the file you selected is already checked we can skip that ... now the wizard wants to know where you want to publish the file ... the first time you use the wizard you will probably only have one choice: "MSN Groups" ... if you have a Windows Live or .NET Passport ID you can use that; otherwise the wizard will help you create one ... so select "MSN Groups", then click Next and select a folder where you want your photo to be published

now, the whole reason we are going through this agonizing procedure is that your photo is too big to upload directly, so the wizard complains about the file size ... no problem, click Next and then Next again and the wizard asks if you want to resize the file ... check the Yes box and select whichever file size you like ... click Next again and the wizard will compress and upload your photo ... with any luck you will see that your upload was successful, so click Next and the wizard will inform you that you have successfully published your file and that a shortcut has been added to "My Network Places" ... so click Finish

but we are still only half way there ... now, open your Friendster page, go to the Upload Photos page and click on "Browse Files" just like normal ... remember that shortcut that was added in "My Network Places"? navigate to Desktop, then "My Network Places", then follow the long chain down to the folder where you published your photo ... double click your file and you are back at Friendster and you can click "Start Upload" ... mission accomplished

and now we get the pay off for all your hard work ... the next time you use the wizard to upload a large file, in addition to "MSN Groups", the wizard will offer you the "Friendster Bulk Upload" ... select that, click Next, enter your Friendster login info and select the album you want your photo to appear in ... now when the wizard has resized your photo it will be uploaded directly to the album you selected!!

one more bit of house-keeping ... you can still use your MSN Group folder to upload your photos to other sites, but you only have 3 MB for your files unless you buy extra space ... so you may have to delete some old files to make room for new ones

hope this helps, Please rate my response! Thanks!!

Problem with uploading photos from fujifilm finepix s1000

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.
