Try this:

a. Connect the WD external drive to a PC computer
b. Install the WD Smartware software came with it.
c. go to SETTINGS, the far right tap.
d. click on DRIVE SETTINGS.
e. select SECURITY, enter your old password and just hit enter instead of enter the new password.
That would erase the password from the drive.

After you have successful remove password you can uninstall the WD Smartware from your computer.

Please ensure that the software that you install on the computer is 64 bits as Win7 is a 64 bit operating system. You can not run a 32 bit software on it and run it. The softwatre has to have a line saying 64 bit compatible. Then only will it install.

Rosetta is one of the few software companies that has excellent technical support. I would suggest calling the support number and explaining the problem to them. When I did this with my installation, they were able to deactivate the old computer and authorize the new computer within a few minutes.
They were also able to give me instructions on how to copy over my old progress files so I didn't have to start the lessons from scratch.

It could be that your computer sees your new camera as your old one.

Just double click on the icon and open any folders to see if there's any photo's in there. If so, you're sorted.

If not, look in "My computer" for another hard drive or flash drive named Olympus. If so click on the icon, and open any folders. If there's photo's there, again you're sorted.

Finally, uninstall your old Olympus software (Make sure you have the disk first, just in case) an then install the software you got with the new camera.

To move them to your PC, Edit - select all - copy (From your camera)
Go to your PC folder - Edit - Paste. When you've copied your files successfully. Go back to your Camera folder, select all - delete. (If you want to remove them, make room on your card).

try to recover first your data, remove hard disk and make it slave to other station. copy all your files. then you may now reformat using a fresh install of windows xp.

Make sure you don't mix up the "O's" and "0's" mixed up. If it still fails, contact Microsoft.

Unfortunately Roxio will provide a new disk, only if you buy again the whole product, unless it was purchased directly from their website.

Only solution is download from P2P sharing network, burning CD again, then using your valid and genuine serial to install the software.
