Radio plays fine no music comes out on cd, aux, or I pod mode radio sounds great any ideas

Are you using an ampilfier? If so, it sounds like you are using the power antenna remote, (blue wire) instead of the amplifier remote (blue/white) to turn the amp on. The power antenna remote turns off when leaving tuner mode, turning the amp off.

Cda 9885, When in tuner mode sub does not play

Does you car volume get lower when you stop. If not sounds like an internal issue. No sound at all my brother hooked his up and when he switched to tuner everything would go through the subs but you would not know it sounded like his 6x9s no bass. was a wiring issue. I dont know if this helped or not.

My alpine cda9885 plays my subs when the tuner setting is on but nothing else, The amp turns off when I switch between the settings and doesn't turn on until on the tuner.

Subwoofer doesn't play through ipod, only radio and cd's

Hook up the remote wire from the head unit (grey w/ orange stripe) to the power antenna wire (blue) on the wiring harness adapter.

I-Pod hook up

I think the red/white RCA plugs on the back of the CDE-7858 are outputs for the sub-woofer -- they won't work for aux inputs like iPod.  According to Alpine dealers, the 7858 will not accept an aux input -- bummer, I had the same desire. R, Jim
