I have listed the steps below to address the remote
to your TV! I have also included the top 5 codes that work in case they
are needed.
Codes: 500, 837, 627, 090, 185
1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up. 2.) Release and TV light will be blinking. 3.) Enter the code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times. 4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if it is working. 5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.
Hi basha538my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network, there are a few easy steps to programyour remote to your receiver and TV if needed. To program your remote to yourreceiver you will want to get to the System Info screen and you can pull theSmart Card out to do that, then you will press and release the SAT button andpress the Record button. I will send a link that shows how to do both steps aswell.

Have you replaced the batteries in the remote that is not working. If batteries are low, the lights will still light up but will not operate the functions for the remote. When you press and release the SAT button, what happens? If you try to press the SELECT button, does the TV button light or the SAT button? If you have already tried these steps, you may need to readdress the remote to the receiver. I have provided a link with the instructions on readdressing the remote. I hope this helps.
The codes that are provided to operate the tv from a Dish remote will not offer full functionality with most TV's. The menu button on the Dish remote even when able to bring up the menu screen on TV's is unable to navigate the menu screen due to the complexity of the TV's set up. The newest receiver that Dish has on the market is the 222k which is a dual tuner/two room HD receiver without DVR that has LEARNING REMOTES that might be able to accomplish the goal you are trying to obtain. I hope this answers your question and remember to keep the original TV remote in a safe place so that you can use other functions on your TV as well. Thanks for using Fix Ya and let me know if I can be of further assistance.
dish network remotes are universal, you can program your receiver, vcr/dvd, telivision and stereo to most remotes. if you need info on this just post again, otherwise i would list your issue under the remote brand
