4 times blinking means Fan stopped, power is not supplied on Fan 1, Fan 2 Fan 3 and at Fan 4. Or Fan connector is not attached securely. Cleaning these fans by using a vacuum cleaner can also solve your problem. Sometimes these fans are clogged by dust.
Just started experiencing convergence problem with my Mits ws-65711. I have decided to try to repair on my own and have the service manual. I see also you have step by step instructions for the repair and perhaps photos of the fuses. I could really use this info if you are able to provide.Thanks in advance. I did the self check by holding in MENU and INPUT buttons and got 1 green blink followed by 2 shorter/quicker green blinks?
set has a self diagnostic---after set does shut down press and hold MENU AND DEVICE(INPUT) buttons on front of set for 5 seconds----if 2 blinks, a pause and 2 more blinks: this is short protection error code---The set does use 2 Stk394-250 and each is protected by a pico fuse in the power supply---if either fuse is blown the set will shut down(it detects no voltage or missing voltage;) It is not uncommon for a shorted IC to cause this problem; if you locate the STK's look carefully at the resistors around them---if any are discolored or burnt---you have found your problem.
This unit will not indicate any problem without you doing something to initiate the LED diagnostic feature. Go to the front of the set and hit the power button, when that doesn't work hold the MENU and INPUT buttons on the set at the same time for 10 seconds. The power LED should start blinking a two sequence code that will repeat six times. The number of blinks will tell the general area of the problem. As an example a 2 - 2 sequence is a convergence output problem over 95% of the time.
