It sounds like the TV's Convergence Circuit has failed.First, try
to reset TV by unplugging TV from A/C source, for 2 to 5 minutes. Then plug TV back into outlet. Also, try the Magic Focus button on front of TV.
Still no work? To fix yourself call 1-800-458-6053 and ask for KIT 10. This will provide you with all the parts you will need. These are soldered in parts, or call an Authorized Service Center and have them give you a written estimate b4 repairs are performed. Cost? between $450 to 650 depending on your location and Service Center. Good Luck, big IRISH.

First replace STKs and if problem still there, check supply voltage of STKs.

ROLLING PICTURE HATACHI


Replace Verical IC and componets in same circuit maybe 2or3 bad capacitors. 100uf 35v ,1uf or 2.2uf 50volt. you need to order vertical Kit.

Hatachi 53uwx10a picture out of focas /words are also double and a yellow line about 10 inches thick sloops down from the top along the top of the tv


i replaced the ic's on the video convergence board ,wasnt hard . they were STK392-110 amplifiers , they had no heat sink paste on them ! everything else checked out fine

Location of IC's


if you do not know what IC is i do not think you should be in a high voltage TV. IC is integrated circuit "CHIPS" and are all through the TV. What IC's are you looking for?
