Panasonic GAOO TV
We have a Panasonic GAOO TV; Model CT-35xf23cu. Recently it started getting horizontal lines across the picture. When we gently tap it on the side or back it works for a while. Seems that the vertical section is either loose or dirty. Need to know where it is located so that I can spray some contact cleaner. also need advice to safely discharge the high voltage from the CRT. A schematic would also be appreciated.

- Panasonic Gaoo CT-32XF35CW 1998The picture comes on nice and clear, but with horizontal, white lines and then the T.V. turns off, within 20-40 sec's of being turned on. Other times the picture "shivers" once or twice for a split second, and then all is well again for week's. Great picture! When I can get it to stay on! - SUKI99

Do you have to tap on the left lower side (facing the T.V) are the lines thin and white?
Has the T.V. ever turned off by itself?
This set was made in Mexico and Panasonic have HAD problems with dirty solder joints, "dry solder joints" as thay are called, expand and "open" with heat and age. Thay can "fix themself's" when the set is allowed to cool down or if you tap the joint back together. That is untill the set gets hot again and the joint expands and.........you get the picture?
Try re soldering your power supply solder joints, you MUST desolder and clean joints!
