Check for a "jammed" button. They use a little rubber membrane behind buttons and over time they do wear out. It is possible to push a button on the corner, make it shift enough to jam behind the faceplate & hard to see. Just push the button and see if it pops back like the rest of the buttons on the unit. If it still has a problem, post a comment and I will help you some more. Hope this helps
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8g0sh7pc54 1. Fully charge the unit 2. Get a song to play 3. Lock the device 4. Wait for black screen and leave it like that for 20 seconds 5. Hold the play/pause button down and move the side switch out of lock mode, then push all the way down (like you're turning it off) and release (back to middle position) 6. Release the play/pause button
the same problem happened with my left control button. i couldnt turn back to the song. so i tried clicking the button several times turning the power on/off. eventually within about a week the button worked again. hope i helped in some way.
If you want to risk it. Try tapping on table maybe it will pop out. Try using a small screwdriver to make it go flat and then guide it up back into place and Try taking all the screws out and putting the button in thwen put it back together
Hold down the Display/Menu function button (one of those three buttons on the left of the unit) for about 3-4 seconds until the display reads "t set". When this appears, push the track forward button once (>>|) so the display reads "beep"; now press the play pause button (>||) once. The display will now say "on", push the track forward button (>>|) once to make it read "off"; now push the stop play button. You're done. Enjoy the silence.
ok... when your looking at it from the front (screen forward) on the right there are 4 buttons.. the top button is play/pause push that the turn on the mp3 player. underneath the play/pause button is the stop button this stops the song and when you hold the stop button down it turns off the mp3 player. the next buttons are the skip forward and skip backward buttons..
