Seems to be a very common problem, This information from Sharp Tools should fix your problem. Let me know if you need any further help and I would be glad to do what I can. good luck

  • Hold down Select / Menu (to reboot the iPod)
  • As soon as the Apple logo appears, hold down Rewind / Select until...
  • ...you see a backwards Apple Logo.
  • At this point, you will have entered Diagnostic Mode. It'll test the RAM, and then tell you to HIT PLAY TO CONTINUE. Hit 'Play'.
  • You'll be in a menu that you advance by hitting FF (Fast Forward). Advance to the 'DISKMODE' entry.
  • Hit 'Select.' This will put you into Firewire Disk mode. The screen should change to the familiar 'Do Not Disconnect' mode. At this point, connect it to the computer.
  • Run the restore utility; it should now recognize the iPod and offer to Restore the factory software. Do so. You'll lose whatever's on it, but you'll avoid having to send it back in to Apple and pay them $49 or whatever to do basically the same thing.

    woops, sorry, misread that

This is a common problem too.

To perform a soft reset, press and hold the iPhone’s Sleep/Wake button
and the Home button for several seconds.

click on restore to original settings and see if it has the backup option there, if not, you can always reload information once it gets working and an apple store could probably get any information that you may loose.

Hi,

Did you try to reset the phone by pressing the power button and home key?

  • Priya darshan May 20, 2008

    1. Do a hard reset on the phone, hold the sleep/wake button + the home
button until it turns off then release before it turns back on.

    2. Plug the dock into the compute and have iTunes running.

    3. HOLD the home button on the iPhone, while holding it, connect the
iPhone onto the dock and CONTINUE to hold the home button until the
    CONNECT TO ITUNES DISPLAY APPEARS.

    4. iTunes will recognize this and ask if you would like to restore it.
Click restore. Then choose to restore from BACKUP! This will take a few
minutes. It will fix the problem. Your iPhone will be up and running as
normal and all your contacts, sms, bookmarks, settings, etc. will be
intact. The only thing that will be erased is the music. But you can
easily add that all back right.

  • Priya darshan May 20, 2008

Please go through my solution it will fix your problem.

Iphones stuck on reboot apple logo

If your iPhone is jailbroken (do not restore from iTunes) Instead try to restore using the jailbreak software used originally.
Please take note as to why I displayed the top message first. As for the iPhone through iTunes, you are stuck in what is known as a boot loop error. A restore from iTunes is required provided your iPhone is not jailbroken. The 5.1.0 release for the jailbreak is not yet out and you will not be able to downgrade back to 5.0.0 once you restore from iTunes.

Iphone 3g 3.0 stuck on iphone apple logo loading screen

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond
  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

More resets:
Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

My i phone will not get pass the apple screen

first this is what you need
itunes latest version computer, of course, usb cable for your iphone internet connection

Connect the iPhone to iTunes. Hold down the POWER+HOME buttons together for about 7-8 seconds until you see the Apple logo appear. About a second after the Apple logo appears, release the POWER button, but keep holding the HOME button until iTunes detects your iPhone in "Recovery Mode" Release the HOME button then itunes shall ask you to restore Do a "Restore" on your iPhone as you normally would
this would take awhile, and you would notice that the phone seems not to be doing anything, it is normal, let i proces for 20 to 30 mins maximum, depends on internet connection and pc speed, wait for it to finish until itunes says it is done.
