Hi, i bought a 1gb memory card for my fujifilm fine pix A605 digital camera today. When i put the card into my camera, i cannot take any photographs as there is a message on the screen saying CARD NOT INITIALIZED. I cant solve this problem and desperately need it sorted as i am going on holiday tomorrow morning and need it for then. please please help me.
The last answer did work but only till you turn off the camera, then you lose all your photos, there may be a firmware update for the camera but after searching the fujifilm website i still aint found it

If your new xD card has an "H" or an "M" before the 1gb, it is not compatible with your camera unless a firmware upgrade is performed (go to www.fujifilm.ca and follow the links for support to the firmware upgrade section). If the card doesn't have the H or M, you just need to format the card in the "set-up" menu of the camera.
Try this site for a firmware update. You need to get a AC power adapter for it to work though. It is from Fuji and it worked fine for my A120. The older XD cards are of a different format then the newer ones so if your new XD card has an 'M' on it you will need to do the firmware solution.
